@RetroUrbanRanbow-That was just at my school though, it was a double standard there which got really annoying. The Cosmetology students could wear whatever they wanted and had crazy hair colors, the Esthetic students on the other hand, had the wear scrubs, had to look professional since everything is a clinic setting. Schools near your may be different and more welcoming?
That's how it is in Florida too. All the cosmetology students got to do whatever to themselves, even when taking the clinical skin care course. Us Estheticians however had to remove our piercing and no dangly jewelry. They were strict on us.
@Yanna- I don't like the double standard but when you do think about it, it does make a little sense haha. Cosmetology students are suppose to be trendy, fun, a little insane haha Esthetic students are more laid back, professional. I just think an esthetician could have pink hair if she really wants it :( haha
I keep thinking about going to school to be an esthetician. no colorful hair? sad panda! ps love the dark hair.
